On May 16, in Paris, NAKO, the Public Anti-Corruption Council of the Ministry of Defense, and partners in France will organize a conference dedicated to anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine's security and defense sector. The event will take place online from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.You can register for the conference by following the link.
The conference's main goal is to raise awareness among political circles in Paris about specific anti-corruption measures that Ukraine has already taken to increase transparency in the public and defense spheres. In particular, the participants will discuss the anti-corruption reform in Ukraine's defense sector, the Ministry of Defense, and JSC Ukroboronprom.
Many thanks to our partners in France, the analytical center, Eastern Circles, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of France for supporting the communication in Paris about anti-corruption changes in the Ukrainian security and defense sector.
The conference will be conducted in the form of a “hard talk” featuring two separate panels.
Since 2014, Ukraine has created new institutions, implemented improved legislation, and undertook reforms in different spheres of life to ensure transparency. Although we can already see the results of these actions, many changes still have to be made to bring Ukraine closer to European anti-corruption standards. The first panel will focus on anti-corruption measures for improving the business environment in Ukraine, the ease of doing business, and their results. The second is on the anti-corruption reform in Ukraine’s defense sector, MoD and UkrOboronProm.
