NAKO experts prepared a feedback to the 2024 annual report of the Anti-Corruption Office of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, in which they noted a comprehensive approach to the implementation of the approved Anti-Corruption Programme.
The report highlights the key areas of the Office's work in preventing and combating corruption:
- methodological support for anti-corruption compliance;
- processing of corruption reports, protection of the rights of whistleblowers;
- organisation of processes to prevent, identify and resolve conflicts of interest;
- anti-corruption analysis and monitoring;
- internal investigations and audits.
According to the NAKO experts, the report is an example of a thorough approach to monitoring and evaluation, combining practical steps with a strategic vision. It not only reflects the achievements of Ukrzaliznytsia in the field of anti-corruption in 2024, but also sets a high bar for further improvement of anti-corruption mechanisms.
NAKO advocates anti-corruption reforms and promotes good governance in key areas for Ukraine's security and defence. In particular, NAKO acted as an independent expert in the reform of Ukroboronprom. Together with Transparency International Defence and Security, NAKO conducted a study on the effectiveness of international defence assistance.
In 2024, NAKO experts analysed the main activities of the State Anti-Corruption Programme for 2023-2025 and identified success factors for the defence sector. In 2025, they participate in the selection of candidates for the head of the State Space Agency.
