The Cabinet of Ministers created Ukraine's Coordination Center for Security and Defence Forces.

On October 14, the Cabinet of Ministers established the Coordination Center for Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine. This is a temporary advisory body of the government. It was formed to reconcile the actions of state bodies, institutions, and organisations on matters of security and defence forces of Ukraine.

The centre will include deputy ministers of Finance, Strategic Industries, Economy, Foreign Affairs, and Infrastructure, representatives of Ukroboronprom, the National Security and Defense Council, the State Emergency Service, the State Special Communications Service, the State Customs Service, the State Security Service, the State Special Transit Service, Security Service of Ukraine, the Anti-Terrorist Center, the National Police and the National Guard and others.

The main tasks of the centre are:

  • The systematisation of information about the needs of the security and defence forces of Ukraine;
  • conducting monitoring of the scope and level of material and technical support of the security and defence forces of Ukraine;
  • preparation of proposals and recommendations regarding measures related to the provision of security and defence forces of Ukraine with weapons, military equipment, and other property, works, and services during the war;
  • promoting the cooperation of state bodies with official representatives of foreign countries on forming requests from the Ukrainian side to attract material and technical assistance for the needs of Ukraine's security and defence forces.

The head of the Coordination Center is the deputy minister of defence, and the deputy head of the Coordination Center is the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
