NAKO will Co-Organize the International Anti-Corruption Week IV
In February 2019 the International Anti-Corruption Week "Anti-Corruption Days of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine" is supposed to take place in Kyiv. NAKO is one of the co-organizers. The event takes place for the fourth time since the Revolution of Dignity. It is traditionally organized by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and is physically based at the Scientific Centre on Building Integrity in the Defence and Security Sector of the Chernyakhovsky National University of Defence. The Week is supported by the Ukrainian and international partners. Among them there are the NATO Building Integrity (BI) Programme, Transparency Ukraine, Chernyakhovsky National Defence University of Ukraine, the Norwegian Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector (CIDS), Defence Academy of the United Kingdom and the US Embassy in Kyiv.
Traditionally, the Anti-Corruption Week takes place at the end of November but this time it will take place in winter. The recommendations made during the previous Anti-Corruption Weeks were taken into account in the relevant decisions of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine. The purpose of the event is to analyze the changes in the anti-corruption activities of the Ministry of Defence and their impact on the life of Ukrainians, share best practices with domestic and international experts and give recommendations to Ukraine’s Minister of Defence on preventing and fighting corruption in the security and defence sector. Key topics for discussion are the personnel policy, procurement, the use of key assets and land, military operations, etc. The event will take place on the territory of the Chernyakhovsky National University of Defence at the address: Kyiv, Povitroflotsky Avenue 28.
