July 11, 2019, the representatives of the Independent Defence Anti-Corruption Committee partook in the open part of the meeting of the renewed Supervisory Board of state-defence enterprise Ukroboronprom. A number of decisions were confirmed during the meeting:
Alongside with NAKO the representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine and the management of Ukraine’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade were invited to the open part of the Supervisory Board meeting. NAKO as the civil society organization monitors the activity of Ukroboronprom in particular and the defence sector in general.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky changed the composition of Ukroboronprom’s Supervisory Board by appointing Aivaras Abromavicius on 12 June and David Arahamia and Andriy Zahorodnyuk on 9 July.
Currently the composition of the Supervisory Board is the following: former Ukraine’s Minister of Economy Aivaras Abromavicius (the Head of Supervisory Board), former Head of the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DAPRA) Anthony Tether, Ukrainian politician and entrepreneur David Arahamia and former head of Office of Reforms of the Ministry of Defence Andriy Zahorodnyuk. One more position of the member of the Supervisory Board is vacant, it is the quota of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
