Among the key topics of discussion were the rollback of corporate governance reform of state-owned enterprises, the need to strengthen anti-corruption institutions and judicial reform.
Transparency and objectivity in the selection of positions in key institutions – is a necessary condition for the continuation of fruitful cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
Representatives of civil society also said that Ukraine’s NATO membership plan could help both strengthen our country’s national security and implement reforms.
“We hope that the Ukrainian government will accelerate reforms in the security and defence sector,” said Olena Tregub.
In particular, the key priorities in this area are the implementation of the law on defence procurement, which should bring Ukraine closer to NATO standards, and the reform of corporate governance of the Ukroboronprom.
