Russia will not stop the war until it has at least some hope of reducing the support of Ukraine by its allies - the executive director of NAKO
On July 5-6, 2022, the International Conference "Global Thinking, Local Action: A Look from Turin on Global Governance since the Outbreak of War On Ukraine" took place in Turin. It organized by the independent analytical center, The Istituto Affari Internazionali – within the framework strategic partnership with Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo.
As long as Russia believes it can win at the political and diplomatic levels and achieve the split of the European Union and the reduction of aid to Ukraine, it will not stop the pressure on the world community and the war in Ukraine. Executive director of NAKO Olena Tregub expressed this belief during the event. "The smallest signs of this give Putin hope, and he will not stop the war in Ukraine as long as he has such hope. Europe can help end the war in Ukraine only if it remains stable and continues to support it," she emphasized and called on Western countries to continue supporting Kyiv and do everything to help Ukraine win.
Olena Tregub drew attention to the fact that russia is trying to put pressure on the world community with the help of propaganda and disinformation, which russia spreads in the world and the Italian mass media in particular. She cited the most common example of such propaganda, which is "russia's most potent weapon at the international level.
