Developments in anti-corruption reforms within the defence and security sector were one of the key issues discussed during a civil society meeting with the representative of the European Parliament.
In particular, reform of corporate governance in Ukroboronprom and unsuccessful implementation of a crucial for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration Law on Defence procurement was at focus.
Meeting took place on August 23, 2021. The EU Parliament was represented by Andrius Kubilius, Juozas Olekas, Anna Fotyga, Michael Gahler, Petras Austrevicius, Ramona Strugariu and Viola von Kramon. Olena Tregub spoke on behalf of NAKO.
We are grateful to the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine for an invitation and opportunity to join the discussion.
