The Japanese government have to investigate how Japanese components got into Iranian drones

NAKO Executive Director Olena Tregub called on the Japanese government to investigate how Japanese-made components got to Iran. They are used in the production of kamikaze drones. Russia buys such drones from Iran, and eventually they attack Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.

As NAKO found out two types of Iranian-made drones shot down over the territory of Ukraine (Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6), they use the products of seven Japanese companies. These components, which are contained in the control board, relays that open and close the flow of electricity in power supply circuits, as well as cameras. All these components are recorded in the NAKO report.

"Iran is under sanctions, so weapons made by Iran should include details from Russia or China. We were surprised that almost all the details are from western countries, from Japan," Olena Tregub said on the air of the Japanese TV channel NHK.

"Sanctions regime and export control doesn't work. And this allowed authoritarian aggressive states to use western technologies. I hope the Japanese government will start studying this question," she emphasized.
