On 15 November, Svitlana Musiiaka, NAKO Associate Senior Researcher, took part in a meeting of Ukrainian civil society activists with US Deputy Secretary of State Richard R. Verma in Kyiv. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Anti-Corruption Action Centre and the National Interests Advocacy Network – ANTS.
The meeting focused on the status of reforms to promote transparency and accountability in the context of US assistance. Participants also discussed Ukraine's progress towards EU and NATO membership. Richard Verma concluded by stressing that the United States will continue to support Ukrainian civil society efforts towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
