September 6 was the first working day of Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha. On this day, Sybig had a number of meetings, particularly with representatives of the expert community and public organizations engaged in international politics and advocacy.
It was about better cooperating with Ukraine’s diplomatic corps on sanctions policy, advocating for security assistance, and combating Russian disinformation. NAKO’s executive director Olena Tregub and senior researcher, Viktoriia Vyshnivska, participated in the event.

“We see the minister’s intention to more actively engage civil society in public diplomacy for Ukraine’s victory. It is significant that the minister met with us on his first working day, making this a priority. The meeting occurred even before his call with our main war partner—the U.S. Later, the minister spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken,” noted Olena Tregub.
On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Andriy Sybiha, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Dmytro Kuleba.
