After the 'egg scandal' in 2023, an independent Anti-Corruption Council was established within the Ministry of Defense, elected by an open vote of the Ukrainian society. Over the next year, 15 council members, including journalists, volunteers, and representatives of civil society organizations, were able to influence procurement within the Ministry of Defense, providing recommendations and assisting in holding dishonest suppliers criminally accountable.
One year after the Council elected by Ukrainians reports on whether the Ministry of Defense has made progress in fighting against corruption.
