The Independent Anti-Corruption Commission (NAKO) has joined a statement by civil society organizations and media calling for:
- the resumption of live broadcasts of parliamentary plenary sessions on Rada TV Channel;
- the advance publication of session agendas.
Below is the full text of the statement:
We, representatives of civil society organizations and media, call on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to resume live broadcasts of its plenary sessions on the Rada TV Channel and to publish the agendas of these sessions in advance. In particular, this applies to the upcoming session where a critical draft law concerning the restoration of the independence of NABU and SAPO will be considered.
These decisions are of fundamental importance for Ukraine’s anti-corruption reform, international trust in Ukraine, and the country’s European integration. That is why the public must have the opportunity to watch, in real time, how members of parliament vote and what positions they publicly express.
We live in a time of deep mistrust and public tension. Transparency in decision-making is not a formality — it is the foundation of parliamentary legitimacy. A lack of openness only reinforces suspicions of backroom deals and undermines institutional credibility.
