NAKO’s communications team conducted a public communication training for the leadership of the Main Directorate for State Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
NAKO communications experts Yuliia Biehlietsova and Kateryna Besedina spoke about how to prepare for public appearances and draft effective speeches. Kateryna and Yuliia have more than 20 years of experience in television journalism, including live broadcasting and international reporting trips to the United States and the European Union.
During the training, participants learned why even small details of a speaker’s appearance matter. They also explored how to make speeches and interviews informative, accessible, and engaging for audiences. In addition, participants practised their skills by recording video addresses using professional cameras and studio lighting.
The training is intended to strengthen the public communication capacity of the Main Directorate for State Quality Assurance in its engagement with the public, media, and international partners — particularly regarding the new state quality assurance system, oversight of defence procurement, and corruption prevention.
The Public Anti-Corruption Council of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Main Directorate for State Quality Assurance are deepening cooperation in the field of quality assurance. Representatives of the Council will contribute to the development of regulatory and legal acts governing the system. NAKO, in turn, provides the Council with institutional, legal, analytical, and communication support.
We are grateful to The New Democracy Fund for supporting the organisation and delivery of the training.
