NAKO Executive Director Olena Tregub carried out an advocacy visit to Washington, D.C., United States. As part of the visit, she held meetings with representatives of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, both majority and minority staff.

Separately, Olena Tregub met with the offices of Congressmen Mike Quigley, Marcy Kaptur, and Brian Fitzpatrick — co-chairs of the Ukraine Support Group in the U.S. Senate.

She also held a meeting with National Endowment for Democracy President Damon Wilson, the organization’s Europe team, and its Director for Combating Kleptocracy Zoe Reiter. Olena Tregub spoke at a NED event dedicated to the role of Ukrainian civil society in strengthening national defence and state resilience.

In addition, meetings took place with representatives of Transparency International (including Colby Goodman), the GLOBSEC US Foundation, C4ADS, and the Eurasia Foundation.

Olena Tregub also participated in the Ukraine Action Summit organized by the American Coalition for Ukraine. The summit brought together more than 700 participants. Over two days, they held approximately 445 meetings in the U.S. Congress, presenting a unified position in support of Ukraine. Discussions included strengthening sanctions against Russia, the return of Ukrainian children unlawfully taken to Russia, and deeper economic and defence cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
