A North Korean ballistic missile launched in January by the Russian military toward Ukraine contained more than 290 third-party electronic components. In particular, companies in the USA and Europe. This conclusion is included in the new reports Conflict Armament Research (CAR).

Moreover, the components were produced recently, indicating that the country has developed a reliable collection network capable of circumventing sanctions, which have been operating in North Korea for almost two decades.

The report states that 75% of the components were developed and sold by companies registered in the United States. Another 16% of components – were associated with registered enterprises in Europe, and 9% – were with companies registered in Asia.

CAR researchers tracked 26 companies headquartered in the US, China, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland and Taiwan.

All these components have been produced within the last three years, which is direct proof of the inconsistency of the sanctions.

We will remember that earlier, NAKO reported on the inconsistency of sanctions regarding the Russian military-industrial complex and concluded that sanctions require faster harmonization between countries.
