During the Warsaw Forum held on October 3 and 4, Olena Tregub addressed the advocacy goals for civil society regarding the disruption of supplies to Russian weapons, specifically the coordination with communities from countries such as the USA, Switzerland, and Germany.
Tregub raised these issues during a roundtable organized by NAKO partners, the International Center for Ukrainian Victory, where the following topics were discussed:

  • How to secure international support for Ukraine and what the immediate priorities are.
  • How Ukrainian civil society engages in advocacy abroad and contributes to domestic reforms.

The forum also hosted high-ranking officials from European countries, Polish leadership, U.S. representatives, members of Ukrainian civil society, and representatives from the military sectors of various countries. Notably, one of this year's panels was organized by NATO.

Most of the discussions revolved around the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine and the sustained support from European and American partners. Additionally, there was a focus on developing the defence industry underway in Europe, the United States, and Ukraine. Prospects and opportunities for Ukraine at the upcoming NATO summit in Washington were also discussed.

The Warsaw Security Forum is a platform for exchanging experiences and perspectives on the security policies of NATO member states, the European Union (E.U.), and partner countries.

For the second consecutive year, the forum strongly emphasized the war in Ukraine and the security situation in Eastern Europe.
