On May 12, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on Russian companies and individuals supplying products to Russia’s military-industrial complex, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The new restrictions target 32 companies and 34 individuals. These entities are primarily involved in the production of S-300 and S-400 missile systems, Topol, Yars, and Iskander ballistic missiles, as well as propellants, rocket fuel, and ammunition.

In a comment to Ukrinform, Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk clarified that JSC Unitest-Rentgen supplied equipment for missile production to the Avangard Machine-Building Plant. The company also cooperated with the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology, which develops the Topol-M, Yars, and Bulava missiles. Meanwhile, LLC A2 Group supplied raw materials for propellants and rocket fuel to the Perm Powder Plant.

The sanctions also target Russian manufacturers of radio intelligence equipment, as well as companies that helped Russia procure high-precision equipment and electronic components in circumvention of sanctions. These include Spetstekhnologiya and RT-Komplektatsiya, a subsidiary of Rostec.

The next step will be synchronizing these sanctions with international partners, which could further restrict Russian companies’ access to equipment and electronics.

“Ukraine’s sanctions additionally document the role of specific Russian companies in weapons production. This concerns the entire military-industrial ecosystem — manufacturers, suppliers, intermediaries, and others. A comprehensive approach makes sanctions more painful for the aggressor,” said NAKO Senior Researcher Viktoriia Vyshnivska.
