On November 10-11, the executive director of NAKO, Olena Tregub, visited the Paris Peace Forum 2023 and said that, unlike last year, the forum discussed the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian civil society and military representatives were invited to the panel, particularly military service Olga Vesnyanka and head of the "Center for Civil Liberties" organization Oleksandra Matviychuk.
In addition, foreign opinion leaders, including an activist from Afghanistan, urged not to forget about the war “because this war is extremely important and everything depends on it.”
It is critically important that the world community does not forget about the war and bloody crimes of the russia in Ukraine and remembers that the war is much closer than it seems, precisely on this, Oleksandra Matviychuk emphasized in her speech and demanded bringing the russia to justice without waiting for the end of the war.
In addition, Olena Tregub held a number of advocacy meetings with international partners, namely representatives of the European Commission and politicians of European countries, in particular with the Head of the Support Group for Ukraine at the European Commission, Peter Wagner, regarding strengthening sanctions against russia. A question was also raised about components and dual-purpose goods of Western countries, who continue to supply them with Russian weapons and thereby help kill Ukrainians.
Likewise, representatives of African, Asian, and Latin American countries participated in the discussion on countering Russian disinformation.
