How to Increase Economic Pressure on Russia: B4Ukraine Held Meetings in Kyiv

B4u 1 1

The B4Ukraine coalition held a series of coordination meetings with international partners, as well as representatives from Ukraine’s public and civil sectors. Visiting Kyiv were B4Ukraine Executive Director Nezir Sinani and International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR) Program Director Simon Papuashvili.
B4Ukraine unites around 100 organizations worldwide, including the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission (NAKO). The coalition’s goal is to block the economic mechanisms that allow Russia to continue its war against Ukraine. Its work focuses on three key areas: the export of Russian energy resources, access to Western technologies, and the operations of foreign companies in Russia.

Coalition representatives met with:

  • Belgian Deputy Ambassador to Ukraine Robin Herrero, discussing the importance of holding Russia accountable for war crimes;
  • Kira Spiridonova, Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department at Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss sanctions policy against Russia;
  • The KSE Institute team, on frozen Russian assets and new tools to strengthen economic pressure on the aggressor state.

Additionally, B4Ukraine Executive Director Nezir Sinani met with the NAKO team to align priorities and directions for future cooperation.
“We regularly hold online meetings with our B4Ukraine coalition partners to share achievements and plans. This is very important for us. I am glad that this time our colleagues were able to meet in person. Coalition members support us from abroad, and with some, we conduct joint research. For example, recently NAKO and IPHR presented a report on Western components in Russian fighter jets,” said NAKO Executive Director Olena Tregub.
