Verkhovna Rada released the “military” goods from VAT and duties

Verkhovna Rada supported the release of imported security and defense goods from VAT and duties. Draft laws No. 9061/9062 were adopted as a whole, with 317 and 316 votes, correspondingly. Ekonomichna Pravda newspaper reports about it.

The laws imply the release from VAT for operations on importing the goods owned by the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other military units, intelligence bodies, special force bodies with law-enforcement function to the customs territory of Ukraine if these goods “provide for the country’s defense.”

They refer to goods “in the customs mode of processing beyond the customs territory of Ukraine and/or their processing products returning to the customs territory of Ukraine in the customs mode of import after the repairs and/or maintenance.”

The legislators also offer the release of services related to military purpose software from VAT if subject to state control while transferring internationally.
