Russia Imports More Alumina from Ireland Than Before the Full-Scale Invasion of Ukraine

Alumina produced in Ireland is exported to Russia, where it is processed into aluminium for military production. Russia uses this aluminium to manufacture weapons, including missiles and drones. “The problem is that Ireland is now exporting significantly more alumina to Russia than it did before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And the reason for the increased demand is obvious: Russia is producing more weapons,” said NAKO Executive Director Olena Tregub in an interview with Vot Tak.
