Sanctions
NAKO joined the collective effort to weaken the Russian military machine. Our organization has focused on closing loopholes and preventing circumvention of sanctions against the Russian defence industry, as well as stopping the supply of Western components used to produce weapons and equipment for the Russian army.
Using NAKO's unique expertise in the defence sector, we analyze the use of foreign components in the weapons and equipment of the Russian military and advocate policies to eliminate gaps in export controls and sanction regimes that allow the transfer of those critical technologies to the Russian war machine.
NAKO also actively provides proposals for filling the sanctions lists of Ukraine and its partners, particularly the European Commission, to sanction legal entities of the Russian Federation involved in military-industrial activities.
